I'm bored. Really bored. Not much interesting events these days. Ah. I've got to wait till the 11th of February to watch episode 11 of glee! >.< Familiarity seriously breeds contempt.
Today, wanyi and I went swimming:DDDDDD Of course, we swam a couple of laps in the competition pool. BUT, the highlight of the day was not that. It was when we were in the LADIES toilet. We were just minding our own business, talking etc etc, when this half naked figure( Waist up for your info) sauntered pass us. There was this epic pause between me and wanyi, before she asked me:
Isn't that a guy?
WHAT A JOKE!!!!! XDDD He's this rather short Caucasian guy wearing swim shorts. I was like, hey buddy, you're in the wrong toilet. We huddled at one spot discussing if he was a pervert. Then, he came back into the toilet sheepishly to collect his bag before making a beeline to the correct toilet. LOL. He just made my day XD
Placing the unpleasant matters aside, I have good news~ I actually passed the pds course!!!! :DDDDDDDDDDD I really really expected myself to fail the course. Looks like I'm in for ai course XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD Yay~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The whole course took 3 days though. Anyway, I joined the running club. It was, not fun, but sort of rewarding. Running non-stop for 5km is an extraordinary feat for me. LOL. Ohh well~
So you think we are not doing a good job? Think again. If you have the potential, we DEFINITELY would have placed you in the team. Why would we destroy what generations of seniors have made to be? All this time you have been wallowing in self pity. The reason why we are even telling you and the others that you have the potential is to see who makes use of that, show us that YOU are different and deserves a second glance. So we are not obvious enough? Fine. Just look at your attitude. Not that we have anything against that, but even your mates are showing their displeasure. What do you want us to do? Let you in because of your ego and cause the whole team to fall apart just because of you? Not gonna happen. This team is a group. Like the previous comp, where we chose you to take part in, we took everything you do into our consideration. The way you left others trailing behind you while you dashed full throttle ahead, as if to show us how much better you are. Hey? This is a team comp. It is your own fault that you got to be the reserve. Pushing blame on your better is a bad move. Someday, in the near future, you are seriously going to regret it. Not that we have to do anything. You are heading towards destruction big time.
Late post, though. BUT!!!!! We are national champions!!!!!!! It came as a big surprise. Information we got was that we got district Champ, which was kinda disappointing. It IS our final year in this shooting comp and we wanted to make sure we make it our best one. For the past 2 years, we got 4th and 3rd position respectively for the team category. So, imagine our shocked expression when the announcer when," The team that will be walking away with the challenge trophy is none other than... RVHS~" We were already shrieking and grabbing at each other :D AHH, not to forget to mention Wan Yi and me each receiving individual awards. HAH. We own people BIG-TIME :DDDDDDDDD However, it was rather disappointing to find out that other teams didn't receive a single award. What i heard was that one even got a grouping size of 3000 cm. I was like, omg??? It's just imt, hello? Looks like we have got our work cut out for us... =.= Wan Yi, Geredine, Jamie and Wei Ni, GOOD JOB GUYS~! :DDDDDDDDDDDD
Since I've got nothing better to do this holiday, I shall attempt to do an essay about the pursue of happiness :D *Claps hand*
Pursuing happiness can be both detrimental and beneficial for a society.
Have you ever wondered why people take up bad habits( e.g. gambling) and commit crimes? It is due to their definition of happiness. To them, doing those things will open up their path to utter bliss.
Terrorist--> forcefully instills their ideology to people--> for what they perceive as a better future Gambler--> squander their money, hurting people around their with debts--> to win quick money, have more spending power, improving living standards, therefore more happy.
and many more...
So, wanting to be the happiest person in the world many not actually be a happy thing for people around you. To say that you hope for a happy family also does not mean that others around you will be happy. Isn't that rather selfish of you?
Of course, there is another group of people who bring happiness to others even during their own pursue of happiness. Bill Gates is an example, giving talks to rich people, suggesting them to donate half or more of their monetary assets to various charities.
In conclusion, pursuing happiness can be both beneficial and detrimental for a society. The only difference between the two is bringing happiness for self or for both self and society. -END-
